Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the Lighting Working Group meeting to be held on March 18th 2010, starting at 10:30 am at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing. Members based outside Beijing who want to call in please follow the conference instruction above.
At this meeting, we will focus our attention on the key recommendations for the new Position Paper of the Working Group. Please find enclosed the word document listing the 09/10 issues as well as last year position paper.
As you may know, the Lighting Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chairs are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued (a general job description is attached).
Currently, Mr. Michael Ye (Philips) is a candidate for Chair and Dr. Gao Ming (GE) and Mr. Zhang Junbin (OSRAM) are candidates for Vice Chairs.
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is also welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, kekvall@euccc.com.cn, by March 17th.
