Dear IPR WG Members,
I am delighted to invite you to our next IPR Working Group meeting on 19th March in Guangzhou. At this meeting Gordon Harris and Jian XU from Wragge & Co., an European law firm specialized on IP, will do a presentation on IP litigation in China: Strategies and Weapons
During the meeting we will also hold the annual Chair election and discuss our activities for this year.

At this meeting we will elect the IPR Working Chair and Vice Chair for the coming year. The Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. For a general job description, please contact Dominik Ehmann at dehmann@euccc.com.cn.
Currently, Mr. Chris Bailey (Rouse) and Mr. Jian Xu (Wragge & Co.) are Chair and Vice-Chair of the Working Group, respectively. Anyone who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is welcome and kindly requested to inform the Dominik Ehmann by noon 16 March.
