The lure of China’s huge market and cheap-but-efficient manufacturing infrastructure has continuously drawn businesses from abroad to doing business here. However, while companies from the West have long been eyeing the China market, Chinese companies have in turn been also begun to explore – and acquire – investments outside China.
This seminar from the European Chamber will provide you with an overview of what is no longer a rare trend, and discuss what the future is for overseas investments being made by Chinese companies.
Important angles that will also be covered include an analysis of the regulatory and legal requirements that companies face both in China and abroad, as well as the commercial and supply chain issues that come into play.
For most companies reviewing their international business development strategy, understanding how to respond to Chinese foreign direct investment is now a priority and the answers to the questions posed above should feature in Board discussions as a basis to deciding how to deal with “the China Factor”. Please join a panel of experts for an insightful discussion on the background to, and reasons behind, the current push by China’s largest enterprises to go global.
