As you may know, the Chair and Vice Chair play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. Attached for your further reference are WG Chair Responsibilities and Code of Conduct of EUCCC that will be applied to elected WG heads.
The Chamber Secretariat would like to thank Mr. Tony CHEN (DHL), current Logistics Beijing Vice-Chair and Acting Chair, for his commitments in the past three years to help develop this WG a vibrant platform for lobbying and information exchange. We're further pleased to announce that Mr. Carlo LEOPALD (Capital Logistics), current Shanghai Chair, Mr. Pieter de Wit (Kuehne-Nagel), current Shanghai Vice-Chair, have graciously expressed their willingness to continue in the role. However, they along with the Chamber Secretariat encourage any other member who may be interested to also put forth his/her candidature for this year's position in Beijing / Shanghai. Should you wish to propose a nomination (by 14th April COB) or request more info, please contact Ms. Adele Wang at abwang@euccc.com.cn.
