Dear European Chamber Members,
The China International SME Fair is holding its 7th edition this year between 15-18 Sep. in Guangzhou International and Convention Exhibition Center.
The Fair is jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and five other ministries and state administrations (all in attached) as well as the People’s Government of Guangdong and is successfully held in Guangzhou every year since it was launched in 2004. For this year 7th edition co-hosting country is Australia.
With a planned exhibition space of over 100,000 sq m, the 7th CISMEF is expected to embrace more 3,000 to 4,000 exhibiting enterprises from 34 provinces of China (incl. HK), Australia, Europe and other countries (incl. Macao and others). The number of visitors is estimated to be over 200,000. Exhibition areas will be set up respectively for the main industries of electronics & IT, household appliances, energy-saving & environmental protection, machinery, textiles & garments, toys & crafts, and food and medicine among other industries.

About ASEM exhibition area, free booths and matchmaking activities for European Chamber member exhibitors:
The exhibition areas will include an area for SMEs from ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting held in 2007) members – total 25 countries, one of which is also EU. This year also the European Chamber members have been given the exclusive opportunity to exhibit their products and services at free standard booths granted by the local Bureau of CISMEF.
For those European Chamber companies, which decides to confirm their participation as exhibitors at the Fair, CISMEF will organize matchmaking activities according to the industry and the interest of the participating companies.
Although it is a dedicated SME Fair, CISMEF organizers are not rigidly strict on the company size. If your company is a MNC and is interested in participating, you can also apply for the free booth, however depending on the number of companies interested to do so and number of booths, preference will be given to the European SMEs.

Due to the limited number of free booths, please note that the rule of “first-come-first-served” will be applied.
About Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Show and Exhibition Pavilion:
In addition to the regular exhibition halls and pavilions, and in response to the nation’s concern over energy conservation and emission reduction, China (Guangzhou) International Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Show (CIEES) will be staged as part of 7th CISMEF. The Show will embrace exhibitors from Europe, Japan, Australia, the United States and Canada among other countries, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Since the Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Show is organized by external party, exhibiting in the area is being charged by the organizers, although the exhibiting area is located in the same hall 4.2, where ASEM free standard booths will be available for European Chamber members.
European Chamber members, specialized in energy-saving and environment protection, which are willing to participate in CISMEF, can also apply for a free booth at ASEM exhibition area.
