Dear Logistics Working Group Members,
We are pleased to invite you to our next Logistics Working Group Meeting to take place on 15th June 2005, at European Chamber's offices.
During our meetings in April and May the Working Group prepared the draft for the Position Paper 2005. Our next meeting will be dedicated to revising and further delibarating on the Key Recommendations.
Key Recommendations:
China wide Master Forwarding License: Grant a China wide Master Forwarding License. NVOCC Bond Requirements: Permit NVOCC to produce evidence of insurance either off shore or on shore as opposed to cash bond in registering their bills of lading. Express Delivery Services: Establish a clear distinction between postal services and express delivery services. Availability of Customs Officers: Implement flexible working hours for customs clearance throughout China. Foreign Investment in Road Transport: Consult closely with foreign transportation and logistics companies on the development and drafting of the new rules concerning Airfreight licenses
