The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China invites you to attend a breakfast seminar to discuss the rapid urbanisation of China and the resulting opportunities for multi-national companies in the more rural markets. The seminar will take place on July 22nd at the Kerry Centre Hotel
Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are being left behind as the major markets for MNCs in China. The growth is now coming from smaller tier cities, as well as from non-urban markets. Leading MNC FMCG companies are now formulating their 3/4/5/6 Tier strategies.
What does it mean for MNCs selling to those markets? What actually are the ‘rural’ markets in China? What different approaches need to be taken in comparison to the major cities? What different channels and marketing need to be applied? And do these rural markets really offer opportunities for multi-nationals and their products?
The seminar will also examine the strategies and tactics of foreign companies who have successfully pried open these rural markets.
