Presentation on PRC Social Insurance Law by EUCSS

Dear Human Resources Forum Member,
On the 28th of October, the National People’s Congress adopted the PRC Social Insurance Law at the Standing Committee’s 17th Session. This law will come into effect as of July 1st 2011.
The Insurance Working Group will on the 25th November discuss on the new PRC Social Insurance Law presented by the EU-China Social Security Reform Co-operation Project (EUCSS). Members of the HR Forum are most welcome to join this meeting.

Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Insurance Working Group meeting, to be held on Thursday 25th November, starting at 16:00 at the European Chamber office in Beijing.
At this meeting we will have the honour and pleasure to welcome the EU-China Social Security Reform Co-operation Project (EUCSS) team led by Mr. Carl Shaw. They will offer their insights on the new PRC Social Insurance Law and can be available for further background information on current policy thinking in relation to future social services in China.
Tentative Agenda:
1. Presentation by EUCSS team on the new PRC Social Insurance Law.
2. Debriefing recent activities by Mr. Hans-Joerg Probst and Ms. Qingqing Wang:
a. Meeting with the Chairs of AmCham’s Insurance Working Group
b. Meeting with the CEOs of the insurance firms members of the Chamber in Shanghai in order to discuss the main operational issues they face in China,
c. Meeting with the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with the People’s Republic of China
