Dear SME Forum members,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to the first workshop in 2011 with a special focus on Operational HR issues for SMEs in China.
For SMEs, most HR related queries revolve around the key elements of a labour contract, how to hire and fire an employee, what social benefits should be paid, how many holidays employees are entitled to, and many more. This session aims to address labour compliance issues and to give you the opportunity to clarify any HR related issues you are unsure of.
At this interactive session, Ms. May Bai, HR Services Manager at The JLJ Group, will talk us through the following topics:
Employment Mandatory benefits Working hours & days Annual leave, sick leave, medical period Maternity leave for female employees Termination & severance payment

1. Interactive Presentation on Operational HR Issues for SMEs in China focusing on Labor Law and Compliance Overview
2. Q&A session followed by open discussion on updates / developments in labour trends affecting SMEs
