The European Chamber is delighted to host a seminar that provides practical advise on how to navigate the minefield of procedures related to exporting to countries around the world.
Exporting to some countries can be a long and complicated process due to local government requirements such as Verification of Conformity (VOC) and Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Many countries in Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia have laws involving checking the conformity of goods to national standards or checking the quantity of the shipment by the intervention of an independent third party inspection company in the exporting country; which will then eventually deliver a ‘’Certificate of Conformity’’ in order for the goods to be cleared at the local customs.
This seminar will explain in a clear and easy way to understand what exactly the VOC and PSI inspections entail, which countries impose them and how to pass those inspections in order to get the mandatory ‘’Certificate of Conformity’’ and export successfully.
Yves De Maria from Bureau Veritas Government Services and International Trade division will present in detail the range of challenges and solutions existing in this area. He will be accompanied by Doris Mok, China and Asia Manager, Roland Hao, Shanghai Centre Manager, and Owen Ye, Sales & Marketing Manager.
