We are pleased to invite you to the next Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil and Gas Working Group meeting which will be held on Wednesday 12th October 2005 at 8.30 am. The first part of the meeting will be combined with the Public Procurement Working Group and will allow the chance to learn about the 2005 Public Procurement Position Paper and exchange views about procurement procedures in China.

In the second part of the meeting discussion will focus on the presentation of the 2005 PCOG Position Paper (to access: Check Here) to the Chinese government, with the objective of agreeing upon a lobbying action plan for the upcoming year. This year the Chamber is looking to deepen ties with the authorities and engage them not just in meetings but also in a number of other activities such as seminars, technical workshops and social events, to increase our understanding of the efforts that are being made, their priorities and ways in which we can assist as well as increasing their understanding of our concerns.

8.30 - 9:15 am: Presentations on Public Procurement:路 Presentation 1: Public Procurement WG & PP 2005 (10-15mins)路 Round table discussion: Public Procurement and the PCOG Industry (10-15mins) 9.15 - 10.00am: PCOG WG meeting (members of the Public Procurement WG will meet in another room) 路 Update on Chamber/WG activities路 Discussion on the presentation of the Position Paper to government agencies 路 Discussion on the key topics to address in the up-coming months. (The goal of the meeting is to take the initial steps is deciding upon a lobbying action plan for the upcoming year).
