Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the Consumer Finance Sub-Working Group meeting to be held on March 15th 2011, starting at 08:30 at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing (please refer to the address above) and with the Shanghai office joining via video conference.
At this meeting the discussion will focus on the preparation of the Consumer Finance Position Paper 2011/2012 and the issues and recommendations that should be included. As the Position Paper forms the basis of our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to consult widely within their own company in advance of the meeting so that they can then table such recommendations for discussion at this meeting. Last year’s Position Paper is attached for your reference.
As you may know, the Consumer Finance Sub-Working Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chairs are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued (a general job description is attached).
Currently, Mr. Miroslav KOLESAR (Czech PPF) is a candidate for Chair and Mr. Raphael GOUE (Europraxis) is candidate for Vice Chair in Beijing respectively.
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is also welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, xsanspowell@euccc.com.cn, by noon March 9th.
