Details:
1. Election of Chair/Vice Chairs of the Working Group (Please kindly respond by March 21, 2011)
As you may know, the Chair and Vice Chair play a crucial role in driving the Forum which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Forum meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued (a general job description is attached).
Currently, Mr. Torbjorn Sternsjo (Sapa) is the current Chair of the Working Group. Based on the Chamber policy and considering the size of the NFM WG, it is applicable to have maximum 1 Chair and 2 Vice Chairs
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, yzhao@euccc.com.cn by COB March 21, 2011.
2. Discussion on key recommendations for the Position Paper 2011/12 (Please kindly respond by March 21, 2011)
In addition, we will also begin our discussions on the Position Paper for 2011/12. As the Position Paper forms the basis of our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to consult widely within their own company in advance so that they can then table such recommendations for discussion at this meeting.
For your reference, the key recommendations from last year’s Position Paper are attached (file: NFM WG_PP Key Recommendations_Call for Comments.xls). If you would like to maintain or update the current key recommendations or add new key recommendations, please kindly fill in the attached excel form and send back to Penny Zhao at yzhao@euccc.com.cn by March 21, 2011.
