The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to the second event focusing on the far-reaching implications of the 12th Five-Year Plan which has just been ratified.
This event will start with a Huchu Xu from Booz & Company addressing several of the key differentiated points between the 11th and 12th Five-Year Plans, analysing the main drivers and rationale behind them, and draw basic implications for companies who intend to enter and grow their business in China.
This will be followed by Professor Zhang Zitai from Fudan University, who will talk about the full scope of implications of the 5-Year Plan with regards to environmental and energy policy. With sustainability noted as one of the central themes of Chinese government policy in this most recent plan, this is bound to have a profound impact on businesses across the board over the next few years.
The Five Year Plan has come to be regarded as the key indicator for Chinese government policy, allowing foreign businesses significant insights as to what to expect in the near to medium term. As such, this event will hold appeal to anyone doing business in China in any capacity.
