Building Winning International Team
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to an exclusive seminar exploring how organizations practice Building Winning International Teams on 30 March 2011 at the Hilton Beijing Hotel – where our panel of experts will discuss their approaches on best practices in recognizing each team member’s talents, and identifying team-specific working methods to become a winning team. This interactive seminar will explore new and innovative ideas on how to connect people and cultures utilising the very best of your corporate talent.
The European Chamber’s Human Resources Forum is pleased to present seminars on topics and issues of key interests to Human Resources professionals in China. We welcome all professionals with an interest in this subject to attend. Members with first-hand experience in this subject are particularly encouraged to come and share their knowledge with our HR community.
The Panel
Mr. Patrick Horgan, British Council (bio)
Patrick Horgan is the Director of Programmes for the British Council in the China Region, and Counsellor (Education) with the British Embassy in Beijing. He has a background spanning business, diplomacy and cultural relations, combined with deep Asia and China experience, dating back to 1989. Mr. Horgan was formerly a consultant and Managing Director of APCO Worldwide in China. He has advised many of the world’s leading companies on their investment and policy issues in the Chinese market.
Mrs. Esther Janssen, Culture-Inc (bio )
Esther Janssen is the Managing Director of Culture-Inc. As an expert in cross-cultural management and supports managing the relationship between a company’s headquarters and its local branches as well as assisting its people to communicate effectively in working together as an international team. Mrs. Janssen has been building bridges between European and Asian/Chinese organizations and companies since 1993. She strongly believes in combining talents to achieve innovation.
Ms. Susie Bates, United Family Healthcare (bio )
Susie Bates is the Vice-President of Recruitment of United Family Healthcare and Chair of European Chamber’s Human Resources Forum during 2010, and has lived and worked in China since 1981. Susie believes that talent acquisition is the singular most critical role that all of us play in the development of our organizations; “without utilising and celebrating the passion of your workforce, no growth is achievable, no vision is attainable. Employee engagement and development is everybody’s responsibility, from the President and COO down”.
Ms. Jane Jing, SAP (bio)
Jane Jing is the Head of North Asia Recruitment of SAP. Jane is considered to be the recruitment leaders of various organizations in IT industry. She has during her professional career empowered the recruitment engine to realize many successful cases. She has also supported different business organizations achieved their hypo growth whereat set up people strategy and people expansion. Previously, Jane worked as recruitment heads in IBM and Accenture.
