Dear Member of the European Chamber Pearl River Delta,
Every year, each Chapter of the European Chamber is required to elect its local Board. The Board consists of delegates from member companies. The Board represent the other members and speaks on behalf of them on all occasions, especially during meetings with the Chinese authorities. You will find more information about their role and their responsibility in this file (2011_rr_of_local_board_member).
To gain the better results, it is crucial for you, as a member of the European Chamber PRD Chapter, to have dedicated representatives, actively contributing to the strategy of the Chapter locally.
The nomination period is open for the positions of Pearl River Delta Chairman of the Board (1) and for Board positions (6) of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, PRD Chapter for the 2011/2012 term.
The appointed representatives of all current “Corporate Member” companies of the European Chamber – i.e. European companies with operations in China – in good standing are eligible to stand for election. (Full details on eligibility can be found in the Articles of Association and Bye-Laws, which can be downloaded below.)
Nominations remain open until 13th April, 2011, 12pm. Elections will take place on April 21st, 2011.
Completed nomination forms should bear the signatures of a Proposer and a Seconder, themselves representatives of “corporate member” companies of the European Chamber in good standing.
The President of the European Chamber, Mr Jacques de Boisséson, has appointed Mr. Dirk Moens, European Chamber Secretary General as the Returning Officer for the elections.
I would like to invite you to the annual Board Elections 2011 of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Pearl River Delta Chapter, which will be held on
