Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Marketing and Communications Forum meeting to be held on Thursday, March 24th 2011, starting at 4:30pm at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing.
Zhaopin.com and the transformation of Employment Communications (Branding) in China
At this meeting, Mark Baldwin – founder of Zhaopin.com – and Mike De Vile CEO - of UK based Five by Five People (bio attached) – will talk about the evolution of employment communications from an outside-in to an inside-out phenomenon and explain why the worlds of HR and Marketing are heading down the same path. Mark will talk about his experiences in building Zhaopin.com (the good, the bad and the ugly) and how his new company, Oxus China, is transforming the way his clients attract and engage talent. Mike will demonstrate through case studies and examples from Europe how companies are re-shaping their communications strategy, gearing it towards employee-generated social media content and achieving powerful results.
The Forum will also discuss the preparation of the Marketing and Communications Forum Position Paper 2011/2012 and the issues and recommendations that should be included. As the Position Paper forms the basis of our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to consult widely within their own company in advance of the meeting so that they can then table such recommendations for discussion at this meeting. Last year’s Position Paper is attached for your reference.
If you wish to attend the meeting, please register with Mr. Michael Ye, mye@europeanchamber.com.cn by COB Wednesday, 23rd March.
