The Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Governments, and steering Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representatives with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that have the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. Please find attached a document which provides further detail about the role and responsibilities.
The current Chair, Pascal Sefrin of Societe Generale, has indicated a willingness to step down should other candidates come forward. The current Vice-Chair, Julia Wu of HSBC, will not carry on in this role due to increased responsibilities in her new position.
