They will give an "overview and update of the PRC Individual Income Tax (IIT) regime in 2011", focusing and commenting on the following:

About the speakers:
Jacky Chu is a Partner of our PwC International Assignment Services practice in China / Hong Kong with over 14 years of experience in providing China and Hong Kong personal tax compliance and consultation services. He specializes in advising on the China and Hong Kong inbound and outbound assignment related matters, including tax compliance risks and advisory on cross-border taxation, expatriate cost management, tax planning / structuring strategies, reward and compensation design, social security, forex, immigration and tax audit defence, etc. He has also assisted a number of pre-IPO companies in China and Hong Kong to set up long-term incentive schemes for their employees and MNCs to register their equity schemes with the local State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) and tax bureaux.
Jacky holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree and a Bachelor of Laws, LLB (Hons) degree. He is a Fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. He often participates in public seminars and forums organized by professional organizations and business associations on cross-border personal taxation and other topics relating to international assignments.

Sophie Lu joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001. She is now a Senior Manager of our PwC International Assignment Services Southern China practice stationed in Guangzhou.
Sophie serves clients from various industries including consumer products, financial banking, IT, manufacturing, etc. She has rich experience in advising tax compliance risks, assignment cost management, tax planning strategies, remuneration package design, China social security compliance. Her other experience includes assisting companies to comply with immigration and working permit requirements and registration of employee equity incentive schemes with the local State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) and tax bureaux in various locations including Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chengdu, etc.
Sophie is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
