Beijing IPR Working Group Chair Elections 2011/2012
The Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Governments, and steering Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representatives with relevant expertise, China experience and government contacts that have the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is highly valued. Please find attached a document which provides further detail about the role and responsibilities.
The current Chair, Paul Ranjard of UNIFAB, has indicated his willingness to continue as Chair of the Working Group. The current Vice-Chair, James Liu of ABB, will not carry on in this role. Therefore other members of the Working Group are encouraged to put themselves forward. The Group can have up to one Chair and two Vice-Chairs. We would like to take this opportunity to thank James for his support to the group during the last two years.
