Dear Banking & Securities Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the Banking & Securities Working Group meeting to be held on Thursday 16th June 2011, starting at 8:30am at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing (please refer to the address above).
A couple of weeks ago, we were able to read in the newspapers about the US-China Dialogue and how it looks like that China has agreed to open mutual funds and custodian business to foreign banks.
At this meeting we will have the honor and pleasure to welcome Mr. Jason Bedford, Manager Financial Services, KPMG. He will focus and comment on the opening of mutual funds and custodian business and its implications for foreign banks.
After this presentation, the Working Group would like to hear the opinion from members on the new developments on Working Capital loans and the requirement of 80% entrusted payments. For this reason, we would appreciate if you could check internally on this subject in order to make more dynamic the discussion.
Tentative Agenda:
1. Presentation by Mr. Jason Bedford, Manager Financial Services, KPMG, on opening of mutual funds and custodian business and its implications for foreign banks
2. Discussion on Working Capital loans and the requirement of 80% entrusted payments
