1. Ten Questions – please help improve the Construction Working Group activities
We also invite you to take 5 minutes of your time to complete - 10 questions in the Construction questionnaire. To better serve your business needs, we would like to know your specific interests for the Construction Working Group. The results will be crucial for determining the European Chamber’s Construction WG strategy in the future. Your input will be key, confidential and highly valued. 2. Tender notice for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) services
The EU-funded SWITCH-Asia Project “Train the trainers” is currently searching for experts on monitoring and evaluation of international projects to assist in the evaluation of the Project training activities. Consultants with a strong expertise in the management and evaluation of construction and energy-related projects, international projects in China and/or EU-funded projects are encouraged to express their interest. Parties can contact Ms. Silvia Sartori, Project leader at ssartori@europeanchamber.com.cn or tel: (21) 6385 2023*114. Deadline for application is Friday 10 June 2011. Activities consist of 1.) Analysis of criteria for recruitment and evaluation of trainees, 2.) Definition of a systematic data-collection approach, 3.) Definition of an accurate data-analysis approach, 4.) Identification of critical areas for analysis.

3. Call for speakers for SWITCH Asia Activities
The European Chamber, together with SWITCH Asia, is planning to organise a conference in Shanghai around Fire Safety.

4. Call for Chinese proofreaders to the Position Paper
The Construction WG is looking for native Chinese speakers who can proofread the Chinese translation of the Construction section of the position paper. Those members who are willing to commit 1 or 2 hours in the period 1-10 July and contribute to the success of the group can express their interests to twerkhoven@europeanchamber.com.
