European Chamber members and their guests are invited to experience the gastronomic glories of a French summer at the Maison Pourcel restaurant. This renowned institution of French fine-dining comes from Jacques and Laurent Pourcel, twin chefs whose flagship restaurant in France has two Michelin stars.
Along with the healthy and delicious Mediterranean cuisine of chef Christophe Agranat of Maison Pourcel, award-winning wine writer and European Chamber wine consultant John H. Isacs has chosen some of the most representative and distinctive wines from the south of France.
Starting the evening will be a light Kir Royal served as an aperitif; white wines from Languedoc and the southern Rhone will grace the intial seafood dishes, followed by a rose wine from Provence; then some of the best red wines of southern France will be matched with meat courses.
A classic muscat sweet by Domaine du Mas de Madame will be served with dessert. Featured producers shall include Domaine Antech, leading cremant sparkling wine producer in Limoux where bubbles pre-date those of Champagne; Mas de Daumas Gassac, the Grand Cru of Languedoc; Chateau Mourgues du Gres, former Chateau Lafite winemaker Francois Collard now making some of the Southern Rhone's most acclaimed wines; and Domaine du Mas de Madame, master of dry and sweet interpretations of the Muscat variety.
We look forward to welcoming you to join us once again to enjoy the best of fine food, wine and company on offer in Shanghai!
