Guangzhou International Biotech Island (GIBI) is a national biotech industrial base, located at the central part of Guangzhou and oriented as the center of biotech, bio-finance, and biotech product trading in southern China.
Through the jointly development by the government and strong support from biotech industry, GIBI is now ready for its opening ceremony and welcome biotech enterprises, talents and investment from all around the world.
The opening ceremony will be held at the Shui Mo Yuan Park (Wetland Park) in Guangzhou International Biotech Island, Guangzhou, China, on July 8th, 2011 from 9:00am to 10:30am. In the ceremony, the first group of both foreign and domestic biotech enterprises will sign MOUs, and senior officials from Guangdong Province,Guangzhou Municipality, officials from foreign Consulate Generals and representatives from foreign Chambers of Commerce and other dignitaries as well are expected to grace this milestone event.
The tentative program includes:
