Dear HR Forum Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next HR Forum meeting to be held on Thursday November 10, 2011, starting at 8.30am at the European Chamber office.
At the meeting, we will welcome Mark Baldwin, vice-Chair of the BJ HR Forum to speak on Employer Branding in Practice - Global & China survey results.
Employer branding is being seen as an essential element of a company's talent strategy, having an impact on recruitment, engagement and retention. But many HR people in China are unsure of what it takes to implement and manage an EB programme. In this presentation Mark will unveil the results of an in-depth study of senior EB practitioners and explain how 28 leading companies are managing their own EB projects. How big are the budgets? How does HR make the business case? Is it possible to make a global EVP work in China? This survey covers these and many other areas. Data was collected through extensive telephone interviews with EB managers, rather than through an on-line survey, ensuring deep insights that will help guide you in the implementation of your own EB strategy.
The first 20 attendees will be provided with a detailed report of the survey findings.
As many of you know, Mr. Rainer Schmitz has stepped down as Chair from the HR Forum and at this meeting we will have an interim Chair election. The HR Forum Chair plays a crucial role in driving the Forum which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Forum meetings.
Nomination of suitable candidates is highly encouraged. If you are interested in this position, please send your bio and a letter of motivation to Ms. Wendy Wang at wwang@europeanchamber.com.cn by Friday November 4, 2011 COB.
