The Chamber is delighted to welcome Susan Rice CBE of Llyods TSB to a working lunch seminar. The topic of the lunch shall be:
"Summary of her presentation about future retail banking in China at the Asian Bankers Meeting 2005"
Susan Rice made history in 2000 when she became the first woman to head a UK clearing bank. As Chief Executive of Lloyds TSB Scotland plc. She was recently named Managing Director of Scotland & North Community Bank as well, and guides the retail business for LTSB Group down to Hull and Leeds. Externally, Susan is a non-executive director of Scottish and Southern Energy, a FTSE 40 company, and chairs the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
Susan?? experience has led to many requests in the UK for her leadership and guidance in the field of financial and social exclusion. She is a founding director of Charity Bank and chairs the Advisory Board of the Scottish Centre for Social Justice. She is a member of the recently formed HM Treasury Financial Inclusion Taskforce and was recently named HRH Ambassador for Scotland for corporate responsibility. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, The RSA and a Chartered Banker and holds honorary doctorates from The Robert Gordon University, Edinburgh Universit, Heriot Watt University and Paisley University.
