Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Pharmaceutical Working Group meeting to be held on Monday, January 16, 2012 starting at 2pm at the European Chamber Beijing and Shanghai offices (see addresses above). At this meeting we will have the pleasure to welcome Mrs. Mai Tran, Executive Vice President Asia, Health & Wellness at Ruder Finn Public Relations.
Mrs. Tran, a pharmacist who for many years works in the pharmaceutical industry, will speak on the topic Foreign brands under pressure: consumer rights or politics?
In 2011, several high-profile MNCs have been under intense scrutiny regarding their ethical practice and standards. The incidents surround a variety of topics (product quality, staff treatment, customer service, and sourcing practices), but they all fit under the larger theme of Corporate Trust. It will be interesting for the members of the Pharmaceutical Working Group to better understand these incidents and discuss about the benefit of Corporate reputation.
