The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to host a half-day conference on Low Carbon Business Practices, Standards and Certification in China on 21st February 2012 at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing.
With China’s 12th 5 Year Plan setting the agenda to “green” the economy and promote sustainable and environmentally friendly development, the Chinese government is working on methods to promote low-carbon business practices, lifestyles, and consumption patterns to help tackle global climate change. Reducing carbon emissions of industry is a major part of this plan, and much work is being done to develop a low-carbon standards, certification and management system to meet China’s objectives.
At this conference, we are happy to welcome expert speakers from industry, government and relevant projects to share their insights on low carbon product best practices as well as the trends, developments and future plans for low carbon-related standardisation and certification in China.
