ACTIVITY 1: PCR WG Meeting
The agenda is as follows:
1. Briefing from Chongqing representatives on investment opportunities in Chongqing’s industry parks, and specifically chemical parks:
a) Briefing by Li Shirong, Deputy Director-General of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission (COFTEC) on Chongqing’s investment environment
b) Introduction to the Chongqing chemical industry and key chemical industry parks, presented by Xiao Qinghua, Deputy head of Changshou District
c) Q&A with Chongqing representatives
2. Short break and networking
3. Final voting/decisions on key issues to be included in this year’s Position Paper (unless other more pressing issues arise in the drafting process)
4. AOB (upcoming Chair elections at next meeting in early-mid April, etc.)

ACTIVITY 2: 22nd March – Conference in Shanghai on safe shipping of dangerous goods on the Yangtze
There will be a number of prominent Chinese government officials speaking at this event, including Chen Zhengcai, Director of Transport and Safety from the Ministry of Transport responsible for drafting Decree 591, the regulation governing the transportation of dangerous cargo in China via road, railway and waterway. He will be joined by Mr Fan Guigen from the Transport and Port of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Mr Kong Yuxiang from Jiangsu MSA, who has recently been involved in handling the high-profile chemical spill in Zhenjiang. There will also be senior officials from the Three Gorges and Yangtze MSA.
