The European Chamber in Shanghai is pleased to welcome you to a Breakfast Seminar on "Avian Flu and Its Impact on Business".
This seminar will be a panel for discussing the nature of the pandemic, the risks for individuals and business as well as the strategies to cope with it. In order to provide a complete understanding of the issue, we are glad to announce the following speakers:
1. Dr. Morgan Jenkins, M.D., from Word Link Medical and Dental Centers:
Doctor Morgan Jenkins will address the issues of why bird flu is a pandemic and as such a threat, how it can start and develop and especially how it can be faced.
2. Mr. Beecher Ashley-Brown, from Hewitt Associates Consulting:
Mr. Beecher will present the results of their recently released survey on "Avian Influenza Business Response". The study has particularly investigated what kind of contingency plans, if any, have been conceived by multinational companies in China and what kind of prevention measures they include.
3. Mr. Zhang Su Hua, Director of the Shanghai Animal Husbandry Office, discussing the pandemic issue for the city of Shanghai and the measures taken by the municipality to control it.
