Working Group Chair Elections
The Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group. The responsibilities of Chairpersons include steering Working Group meetings and other activities, communicating key messages to non-government and government (Chinese and EU) stakeholders and may lead the drafting of the Position Paper. The required characteristics of a Chairperson are senior industry representative with relevant expertise and contacts who have the time, ability and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is important.
If you are interested in applying for election, please firstly read the attached documents which outline the roles and responsibilities of a Working Group Chairperson and a code of conduct which would need to be signed upon election. To then apply for either the Chair or Vice Chair positions, each prospective candidate should submit a short write-up which includes your bio and motivation to apply for the role by 6pm Monday 2nd April to Tony Robinson (trobinson@europeanchamber.com.cn). A listing of all candidates will be sent to all Working Group members shortly thereafter.
For any further information on the Private Equity and Strategic M&A Working Group, or the European Chamber in general, please contact Sam Passafiume in Beijing (spassafiume@europeanchamber.com.cn) or Tony Robinson in Shanghai (trobinson@europeanchamber.com.cn).
