Dear SCA Working Group Members,

Please see the tentative agenda for tomorrow’s meeting, where we will hold the election and plan for the Position Paper. As the Chairmanship and Position Paper of the Working Group will guide the activities for the year, we highly encourage you to attend this meeting to provide your industry input. Please register with Mr. Jean-Paul Larche at jplarche@europeanchamber.com.cn by TODAY 27^th March 2012 COB.

As the 20^th March 2012 deadline for submissions of candidacy for the Chair/Vice Chair of the SCA Working Group has now passed, we will be pleased to welcome the below members as Chair and Vice Chairs of the working group, pending final approval by members at the meeting. These were the three candidates for the three available positions.

• CHAIR: Dr. Xu Bin, Siemens Ltd. China, Head of Standardization and Regulation, Corporate Technology (Current Chair of SCA Working Group 2011/2012)
• VICE CHAIR:    Mr. Weihua Jin, L’Oreal China, Regulatory Affairs & Registration Director, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Dept. (New: Please find their bio and motivation letter attached)
• VICE CHAIR:    Mr. Macro Wu. Philips (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Standardization Manager, Philips Intellectual Property & Standards China Department (New: Please find their bio and motivation letter attached).

We would also like to announce that Mr. Billy Chen (current Vice Chair of SCA WG 2011/2012) has decided to step down from the position of Vice Chair this year due to a change in industry focus and position. We would like to take this opportunity thank him for his excellent contribution to the working group in this role over the past years, and we look forward to his continued participation in the group.
