The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next event in the urbanisation series, an afternoon seminar on the waste-to-energy (WTE) industry. It will take place at the European Chamber Shanghai (Shui On Plaza, Unit 2204, 333 Huai Hai Zhong Road) on Friday, 26 October, 2pm-5pm, with registrations beginning at 1:30pm.
Waste is increasingly considered both a resource and an opportunity in China. As the country’s waste volumes continue to rise, WTE solutions and technologies can improve waste processing capabilities and diversify China’s energy sources. The WTE industry’s growth, however, is impeded due, in part, to financing limitations, pollution concerns and intellectual property issues. This event, therefore, will shed further light on the WTE market with a focus on regulatory developments and management procedures, technology innovation as well as market/business opportunities and challenges in the context of urban development in China.
