The European Chamber in Shanghai in cooperation with the Benelux Business Association in China would like to invite you for an excursion to the Yangshan Deep Port.
Located in Shengsi, Zhejiang province, the deepwater port is likely to become the world's largest container shipping port. The first phase of construction was inaugurated last December and is expected to be finished in 2010. It will include 52 berths, a logistic centre and a 32-km bridge .
The event is meant to investigate the impact of the Yangshan Port on Shanghai's future development as an international transfer hub. It provides a chance to familiarize with the new facilities and speak to the port and customs authorities.
