*Title: Top Chinese Institutions for Research Activities: by scientific field, with researchers’ contact information
Date: November 2011
Authors: Dan Prud’homme, R&D Forum Business Manager; Mike Yung, Assistant to R&D Forum
Abstract: This resource document is meant to aid R&D managers considering partnering with Chinese universities/research institutions by providing a ranking of research activities in top Chinese institutions in different scientific fields and relevant researchers’ contact information therein. It uses the methodology from Frietsch et. al (2008) to identify top research institutions in China in 26 scientific fields. Additionally, the document highlights the top five institutions per each of the 26 scientific fields that are in or around Shanghai, given the European Chamber’s R&D Forum is based exclusively in Shanghai, and provides detailed contact information for such institutions.
