Upcoming Working Group Meeting

Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next joint Energy, Environment and Construction Working Group meeting. It will be held on Wednesday, 3 April, 4pm-6pm, at the European Chamber Shanghai. The meeting, co-organised with the Consulate General of Belgium, will focus on Sustainable Urbanisation in China: Sino-European Dialogue. European and Chinese government and academia will be in attendance.
The meeting coincides with the visit of Professor Luc Taerwe, Pro Dean, Engineering, University of Ghent, to Shanghai. Professor of Concrete Structures and Applied Statistics and Head of the Department of Structural Engineering at the University of Ghent, he is recipient of numerous awards, including the Robert L’Hermite Medal in 1988 from the International Union of Testing and Research Laboratories for Materials and Structures (RILEM) and the IABSE Prize in 1991 from the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering. He was made Fellow of the American Concrete Institute in 2001 and is Member of the Royal Belgian Academy of Technical Science.
