The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next HR Forum meeting. It will be held on Thursday, 9 May, 8:30-10:30am, at the European Chamber Beijing office.
At this meeting we will have the great pleasure of welcoming Mr. Simon Lance, Regional Director, Hays China, who will give a presentation on the findings of 2013 Hays Asia Salary Guide and share some insight on China’s macro-economic environment (provided by China Everbright Securities).
Presentation by Mr. Simon Lance:
In this presentation, Mr. Lance will present the 2013 Hays Asia Salary Guide. Hays salary guide is based on the results of a survey as well as the recent placements made by Hays offices across Asia and reveals such information as the typical salaries of different positions across China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan as well as those skills that will be in high demand in 2013.
His presentation will focus on key recruiting trends across Asia and outline the skills in demand in each specialist area covered by Hays in China, while providing insight into the recovery and some of the changes we're anticipating in 2013.
A few points from the guide book:
· 47% of Employers in China increased salaries by more than 10% in 2012
· 30% of Employers in China expect to raise salaries by more than 10% in 2013
· 93% of Employers believe skills shortages will hamper their business operations
· 68% of Employers are willing to sponsor qualified overseas candidates
· 79% of Employers offer additional benefits (on top of salaries and bonuses)
· 60% of Employers said that career path and training have an impact on their ability to attract the right candidates
· Only 10% of Employers believe they their brand perception (for career & training) is strong in the market
Speaker:
Simon Lance is Regional Director of Hays in China and has responsibility for the operational management and expansion of Hays offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou. With over 11 years consulting and management experience within the professional recruitment industry in UK, Australia and China, his management experience includes developing market-leading teams within a range of technical, financial, corporate and executive disciplines. He also maintains a strong personal interest in the infrastructure, engineering and energy industries.
