Dear Working Group member,
We are pleased to announce that the next Pharma Working Group meeting will take place on 18 June 2013 from 4pm at the European Chamber offices in Beijing and Shanghai (via videoconference).
At this meeting we will have the great pleasure of welcoming Mr. David Martin, Strategy and Operations Leader, Monitor Deloitte, who will give a presentation on Measuring the Return from Pharmaceutical Innovation 2012 followed by an interactive discussion on the topic.
Brief introduction of presentation:
As China's government continues to make extraordinary efforts to reform the healthcare system, many multinational pharmaceutical companies are increasing their R&D investments in China. These investments, which increasingly include early stage research as well as later stage clinical development aim to accelerate the time to market for new products in China, as well as improve global R&D productivity. In his talk, David Martin, the strategy and operations leader at Monitor Deloitte in Shanghai will talk about Deloitte's latest report: "Measuring the return from pharmaceutical innovation 2012" as well as some of the advantages and challenges of conducting R&D in China.
