The European Union Chamber of Commerce is delighted to invite you to a seminar on primary production quality & safety and related challenges in China.
Food safety starts with primary production. Improvements in the quality and safety of primary production has to be coupled with downstream incentives that deliver value to producers and an integrated supply chain including production, processing, storage, transport, wholesale and retail. Such improvements need to support development that is economically, socially and environmentally sustainable.
The modernization and professionalization of agriculture is relevant to much of China, being directly linked to the importance of supply chain collaboration and food safety. The creation of new employment opportunities in rural areas helps safeguard livelihoods just as sustainability and green infrastructure planning will safeguard our natural ecosystems for future generations.
