The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, China IPR SME Helpdesk, EU SME Centre and DUSA are delighted to invite you to a half-day Yangtze River Delta SME Forum, held on Friday, 30 August 2013 at Regal International East Asia Hotel, Shanghai.
The forum will provide a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices on the issues that matter most for SMEs in China. It will also focus on “Business 2.0 for SMEs in China”, including e-marketing, brand building, social media and e-commerce. This forum is the perfect platform for SMEs, it will highlight practical tools available for SMEs to help their businesses grow in China. This event is sponsored by Everbright Law Firm.
European SMEs will enjoy free attendance upon written approval after their registration on our website.
European SME definition: the company's HQ has to be in the EU with fewer than 250 employees (globally) and an annual turnover of less than EUR 50m.

Mr. Richard Cant
Richard Cant is the regional director of the Yangtze River Delta Region for Dezan Shira & Associates. Based in Shanghai, Richard guides foreign individuals and companies through the process of establishing, maintaining and expanding their businesses in China.
Richard's areas of practice cover accounting and taxation consulting for foreign-invested companies in China as well as business advisory for establishing companies in both mainland China and Hong Kong. In addition, Richard often presents to professional, trade, government and other international organizations on setting up and doing business in China.
Prior to Dezan Shira & Associates, Richard, an Australian lawyer and Certified Public Accountant, worked in business and commercial consulting both in Australia and China for the past twenty years. He was also previously a partner at Ernst & Young Australia. Richard holds an LLB from the University of Adelaide and a LLM from the University of Sydney.
Ms. Ludmila Hyklova
Ms. Ludmila Hyklova
Ludmila has been involved in legal consulting on international investment and cooperation for more than 15 years. She is now in charge of providing legal advice on all aspects of economic cooperation between Europe and China to EU SMEs looking to establish themselves in the Chinese market.
After working as legal counsellor for a number of multinational corporations, international organisations and projects in Europe, Ludmila Hyklova spent the last five years in China working for a large EU financial group, where she managed the legal and compliance department during its business start-up. This included the development of a legal model for business and its compliance with Chinese law as well as the incorporation of a number of foreign invested companies for the group. In the process of the day-to-day management of legal affairs for a variety of companies she gained broad knowledge and rich experience especially in company law, labour law, foreign exchange law, intellectual property law, contract and tax law.

Yu-An Chang is an associate in Hogan Lovells (Shanghai) Intellectual Property Agency Service Co., Ltd., an IP service affiliate established by Hogan Lovells Hong Kong in September 2007. Yu-An has extensive experience in intellectual property matters in Greater China.
Yu-An has handled many aspects of intellectual property work, including contentious and non-contentious matters relating to trademarks, copyright, patents and designs, trade secrets and licensing. He regularly advises clients on procuring, protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights in the region.
Mr. Patrice Nordey
Mr. Patrice Nordey
Patrice is a digital veteran with over 6 years experience of digital project management across China, Japan and South Korea.
He started to provide Master Degree training at Sorbonne, Science-Po and Telecoms Institute in 2000. When moving to APAC, he setup de digital academy programs of L’Oreal Group and PPR Group.
Prior founding VELVET Group, Patrice was digital strategist at BNP Paribas and founded the Asian office of L’Atelier in 2007.
He served clients such as Dior Perfume & Cosmetics, YSL Beauty, L’Oreal, Hermes, Richemont, Lagardere Travel Retail, Bertelsmann, etc.

Ms. Becky Xia
Becky Xia is a Partner in Fragomen’s Shanghai office. She supervises a major inbound China business immigration practice and a large team of immigration professionals specializing in assisting multinational corporations secure work authorization for their employees throughout China. She regularly advises clients on complex China immigration challenges, including assisting employees working in multiple locations, developing strategies for responding to policy changes and creating efficient, straightforward corporate processes to streamline work authorization applications for major clients.

Mr. Patrick Deloy
Patrick is the founder and executive director of Bluecom Group and is working with international companies on their B2B and B2C e-commerce strategy and implementation in China, APAC and East Asia.
With more than 10 years of experience in the IT business in multi-cultural environments, Patrick has supervised dozens of IT talents and kick-started various successful companies in the web IT and e-commerce field.
