EUCCC–GDSME Matchmaking Event 

The purpose of this event is to identify opportunities for cooperation between European and Chinese companies and share knowledge of the operating conditions in Guangdong. The event is the first initiative of its sort between the European Chamber of Commerce and the Guangdong SME Council.

The key area of focus for this event is the healthcare sector. Participating member companies from both organizations are from varying industries with a common interest in the healthcare sector.

The healthcare sector in China is growing exponentially with spending projected to grow from $357 billion in 2011 to $1 trillion by 2020 (McKinsey, 2012). China’s demographic shift and higher standards of living are resulting in a significant increase in demand for healthcare goods and services. Potential synergies between Chinese and European companies could open doors to new opportunities and grant companies access to valuable information.

For this event, each company will provide a 5-10 minute introduction of their company and answer the following questions:

·       What does your company offer?

·       What is your company looking for?

Following introduction the companies will meet one-on-one, and then discuss the topics listed in the agenda below.
