It is a known-to-all fact that political forces can significantly influence the economy of a country, especially a country like China. However, how much do you really understand about the Communist Party of China (CPC), the principal governing force in the country? How much do you know about the upcoming Third Plenum of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in November? And blueprint of political and economic reform expected to be announced at the plenum?
In light with the Third Plenum next month, the European Chamber wishes to help its members better understand the CPC-led political reforms and its potential economic impact. On 6th November, we will delightfully invite Dr Li Haiqing, Deputy Director of the Department of Marxism Theory in Party School of the Central Committee of CPC, to give us more insights. During the seminar, Dr. Li will talk about the past and present of the political reform, its crucial role in driving the country towards sustainable development, and the potential policy trends it may bring about.
The Party School of the Central Committee of CPC is the origin of all cutting-edge thoughts and theories of Marxism in China. All government officials who are CPC members are regularly educated at the Party School. Dr. Li Haiqing’s research interest lies in political philosophy and the theories and practices of Marxism.
