Dear Working Group Members,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Joint Automotive and Auto Components Working Group Meeting in Shanghai and Beijing via videoconference, which will take place on 24th January from 9am. At the meeting, Mr. John Jullens, Partner at Booz & Company will deliver a presentation on Racing to the Bottom. As the Chinese low-end market gains in importance, Western automakers and suppliers must decide whether, and if so how, to enter this segment, adapt their business models, develop low-end engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and defend their competitive positions against local Chinese players. The presentation will offer a perspective and potential solutions to all of these questions. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and an interactive discussion on the topic.
Mr. John Jullens is a Partner at Booz & Company with more than twenty years of management consulting and industry experience in North America, Europe, and Asia. He currently co-leads the firm’s engineered products & services practice in Greater China. He has advised numerous multinational and local Chinese companies on a wide range of strategic challenges, including market entry into China as well as international expansion out of China and how to achieve top-line growth through organic and inorganic means.
