The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next joint meeting of the Private Equity & Strategic M&A and Legal Working Groups on Tuesday, 3 December 2013 from 16:30-18:00 at our Beijing and Shanghai offices via videoconference.

 

During the meeting, the Private Equity & Strategic M&A Working Group will have the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Hannah Cao, China Corporate Counsel at Steptoe Johnson LLP Beijing Office, who will give a presentation on the following topic: An update on MOFCOM Consultation Draft of Amended Measures for Foreign Strategic Investments in Listed Companies – Will it stimulate more foreign participation in China’s M&A market?

 

On September 27, 2013, MOFCOM published for public consultation a set of draft revisions to its 2006 Measures for Strategic Investment by Foreign Investors in Listed Companies. Ms. Cao will provide the working group members with an overview of the key differences between the draft amended rule and the 2006 rule.  She will also discuss how these proposed changes will likely impact foreign involvement in China’s M&A market and the A share market.
