Managing projects everywhere in the world is a big challenge, but in China the rapid change experienced makes project delivery even more challenging. By using the right tools and following the proper procedures project managers can mitigate the probabilities of failure on the projects. Over 61% of the projects worldwide do not achieve the key objectives set up for them, and the lack of proper processes and tools is one of the key factors for that low rate of success.
Many multinationals set up their manufacturing plants in China and they experience a large number of risks. This half-day training will cover some practical cases in manufacturing industries to review some of the classical risk that happen in this industry in China and will present tools to identify, prioritize and find responses to the highest priority risks on the projects following the international standard in risk management in projects from Project Management Institute (PMI).
The participants will get a Risk Register template to reuse on their day to day work and a systematic process to try to identify common risks that are common when delivering projects in China and not so common outside China.

Target Group

The Trainer
Jesus Hernandez, Managing Director, Gold Millennium Group Mr. Hernandez has over 15 years of experience in managing multimillion USD projects in USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. His vast experience in international projects has given him a clear understanding of the challenges of managing multi-language and multi-cultural virtual teams. Having conducted project management consulting engagements in numerous industries and sectors (private and public), Mr. Hernandez understands the needs of different organizations and the gaps they have in their project management methodologies.
His exposure to different industries in China, gives him and his trainings a practical approach to solve day to day problems when managing projects in China. A PMP®, Mr. Hernandez received his Industrial Engineering Master’s Degree at the University of Miami.
