Dear Members, We are delighted to invite you to the next Banking Working Group meeting, which will take place on 6th September at 14:00 at the offices of HSH Nordbank in Pudong. The meeting will discuss the new draft foreign banking regulation, which was circulated to some foreign banks in the past weeks. This new regulation will affect those banks interested in retail banking and this is a good opportunity to discuss its implications and possible discussions with the CBRC. A summary of this local incorporation regulation has been kindly sent to us by one of our members. The Banking and Securities WG in Beijing has also had a meeting to discuss this regulation and have drafted a list of questions which is also attached above. They would like these questions to be further clarified by the CBRC.
