The Shanghai Board Election where Shanghai Representative/Vice President-designate, Shanghai Chairman of the Board (1) and Shanghai Board positions (6) are elected, will take place on Wednesday, April 23rd at the Marriot Shanghai City Centre.
Please note registration ends at 6.00 pm.
Who can vote for elections?
If you meet all the following 4 criteria, you can vote for election. You are:
1) Designated Representative (the main contact between the European Chamber and your company);
2) A European member company with operations in China;
3) A Member of one of our working groups or forums;
4) With paid dues for the year 2014 (please make sure that the Chamber has received and confirmed your membership payment by Friday, 18 April).
Who can attend the Board Election Meeting?
All members (including those who do not meet the requirements for voting and standing for election), with paid dues, have the right to participate and be heard. However only members who meet the above mentioned 4 criteria can vote for election.
Please register your attendance with Mr. Simon Campostrini, scampostrini@europeanchamber.com.cn before April 21st, 6pm. You will receive official confirmation after verifying your membership status.
How can I vote?
There are two ways of voting:
1) In person by secret ballot at the elections venue. Please register your attendance by Monday, April 21st, 6pm.
2) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by Monday, April 21st, 6pm. Please fill in the Proxy Form (click here) and send a scanned copy to Mr. Simon Campostrini at scampostrini@europeanchamber.com.cn or by fax to 021 6385 2381 or in person at the Chamber office in Shanghai (Unit 2204, Shui On Plaza, 333 Huai Hai Zhong Road, Shanghai). The proxy must be a colleague from your own company. This requirement is new for 2014 and it has only one exception for the Individual member, who may give his/her proxy to another individual member/corporate member in Shanghai.
In such case another designated representative from a member company in Shanghai with voting rights may serve as a Proxy.
3) Please note that even if you have a voting right, you MUST have registered for the Board Election in order to exercise this vote.
Proxies received after the deadline and in a format different from those listed above won’t be accepted.
