"As China rebalances, and the United States does not, sparks could really start to fly." by Stephen Roach
European Chamber is delighted to invite you to an exclusive seminar with Stephen Roach, a Senior Fellow at Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and the former Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia, on 26th March at China World Summit Wing Hotel.
Roach will speak on the topic of “America and China: An Unsustainable Codependency,” offering a discussion of the complex interdependencies of the world’s two largest economies—and how they are about to change, how they are increasing the risk of their turning on one another in a destructive fashion. Roach will also cover the topic of “China’s Growth Puzzle”, arguing that China’s lower growth rates are the natural result of the long-awaited rebalancing of the Chinese economy, which is a welcome development. It is neither desirable nor feasible for China to return to the trajectory of 10 percent annual growth that it achieved in the three decades after 1980.
