Today is the final day for voting registration for the 2014 AGM.
We remind all eligible voting members that this year’s proxy voting requires that the proxy come from within your company unless you or your company does not have a presence in the Beijing Chapter: Proxy Form.
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China cordially invites you to attend the Annual General Meeting 2014 (AGM) and to cast your vote at the election for the European Chamber leadership.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the president (1), vice presidents (3) and treasurer (1) are elected, will take place on Thursday, April 24th at the Westin Hotel Beijing.
This is a chance, for you as member, to have a say and give your feedback on the activities of the European Chamber in 2013 and 2014.

Who can vote and run for elections?
If you meet the following 4 criteria, you can vote and run for elections:
1) You are the Designated Representative (the main contact between the European Chamber and your company);
2) You are an European member company with operations in China;
3) You are a member of one of our working groups or forums;
4) You have paid dues for the year 2014 (please make sure that the Chamber has received and confirmed your membership payment by the day of the Annual General Meeting)
How can I vote?
There are two ways of voting:
1) In person by secret ballot at the election venue. Please register your attendance by Monday, April 21st.
2) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by Monday, April 21st. Please fill in the Proxy Form and send a scanned copy to Mr. Graeme Wallace at gwallace@europeanchamber.com.cn or by fax to 010 6462 2067 or in person at the Chamber office in Beijing (Office C412, Beijing Lufthansa Center).
3) Please note that even if you have a voting right, you MUST have registered for the AGM in order to exercise this vote.
Who can attend the Annual General Meeting?
All members (including those who do not meet the requirements for voting and standing for election), with paid dues, have the right to participate and be heard at the Annual General Meeting. However only members who meet the above mentioned 4 criteria can vote or run for election.
How to register?
If you would like to attend the AGM, please register online by Monday, April 21st. You will receive an official confirmation from our events team after verifying your membership status. Please print out and bring this official confirmation with you to the AGM.
Mrs. Carmen Cano, the Acting Head of the EU Delegation has appointed Mr. Francisco Pérez-Cañado, the Minister Counsellor, Head of the Trade Section of the Delegation of the European Union to act as Returning Officer.
