Speaker: Chris Cheung, Director of EU SME Centre in Beijing
Chris has spent over ten years working in mainland China. Holder of a Master’s degree in Chinese and Business from the University of Leeds, an MBA from the University of Warwick and legal practice diploma from the College of Law in London, he has witnessed first-hand the fast-changing evolution of the emerging Chinese market of the last decade. Chris has built his extensive knowledge of the Chinese market through a wide range of experiences at organizations APCO, Siemens and the China-Britain Business Council. As a China expert, Chris has already advised hundreds of SMEs using his knowledge in an extensive range of business areas. He is currently the Director of the EU SME Centre in Beijing where he leads a dynamic team of 19 in providing reliable and timely advice to EU SMEs.
The EU SME Centre is a European Union funded initiative helping SMEs get ready to do business in China. Located in Beijing, the Centre provides practical information, confidential advice, and training in the areas of business development, legal issues, standards and HR to facilitate market access for European SMEs. Speaker: Nino Lancette, Strategist & Partner at DigiChina
Over the last six years, Nino has worked closely with Chinese clients involved in international investment, trade and technology. He started learning about China and its economy more than 10 years ago, when he studied International Finance. He has helped Chinese investors and business people make acquisition in Australia's education, tourism, property and telecommunication industries.
He has a professional background in financial management and has built experience in audits and financial due diligence. Since moving to Chengdu in 2010, Nino has dedicated his time to building technology and digital marketing solutions for companies who do business in China. He is now Lead Strategist at DigiChina, a China-focused digital agency dedicated to connecting companies and brands to their Chinese customers.
Nino is currently studying towards an Executive MBA at RMIT. This year, his study focus is on Luxury Brand Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
